We also develop Kalmar as a meeting and event destination and operate Kalmar Tourist Center and Kalmar Guest Harbor. In collaboration with the National Property Board, we are responsible for the operations at Kalmar Castle.
Destination Kalmar is a subsidiary of the Kalmar Kommunbolag AB group. The company has an annual turnover of over 50 million SEK and employs approximately 30 permanent staff and around 70 seasonal employees.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Accounting Assistant, you will enjoy a fun and eventful workday with many points of contact. The position primarily focuses on ongoing accounting, but you will also be responsible for the continuous development and improvement of processes and routines. Your tasks will include, for example:
- daily bookkeeping, incoming and outgoing payments
- accounts receivable and payable
- ongoing account reconciliations
- participating in the year-end closing process
- ongoing archiving and board administration
- reporting and support to our colleagues in the organization
- project accounting
The finance unit currently consists of two people, the Chief Financial Officer and an Accountant. You will report to the Chief Financial Officer and the location is Kalmar.
QUALIFICATIONS
To succeed in the role of Accounting Assistant, you need to have good knowledge of accounting and a solid understanding of the tasks and routines that occur in a finance department.
You:
- likely have a financial education, at least at the high school level, and several years of relevant experience
- have good communication skills, both spoken and written in Swedish
- have experience with invoice management and basic accounting
- are used to working in various accounting systems
- handle Microsoft 365 with a focus on Excel and other digital tools
Previous experience with Visma business solutions and Proceedo is an advantage.
